Kids Ministry Volunteer Positions
Infant/Toddler Room
- Supervise toddlers (ages 1-3) during Sunday Service.
- Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all children in the classroom.
Sunday School Teachers (Jr and Sr Classes)
- Prepare and present engaging and age-appropriate lessons that align with our curriculum and promote spiritual growth.
- Lead small & large group activities that reinforce the lesson and encourage active participation from students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves and asking questions.
- Foster a sense of community among students by encouraging teamwork and cooperation during activities
- Provide guidance and support to students as they explore and deepen their understanding of faith concepts.
- Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure the smooth operation of the Sunday School program.
Sunday School Helpers (Jr and Sr Classes)
- Assist the Sunday School Teacher in preparing materials and setting up the classroom before each session.
- Support the Teacher during lesson delivery by helping to manage the classroom environment and ensuring students are engaged and focused.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students who may need extra help understanding the lesson or completing activities.
- Encourage participation and cooperation among students during group activities and discussions
- Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment, including monitoring behavior and resolving conflicts when necessary.
- Assist with cleanup and organization of the classroom after each session.
1:1 Kids Ministry Supports
- Volunteers in this role will only be utilized on an as needed basis. 1:1 supports will stay in the service until they are called upon to step out to provide support to a child.
- 1:1 Support volunteers may be called upon to assist with a child who has behavioural or developmental exceptionalities. Volunteers may take a child into a separate room to read or play a game, may take them for a walk, or may work with them as they participate in classroom activities.
